Review definitely reads like someone who just wanted to shit on the album. This is coming from someone who hasn’t cared about this band since their first album and found this to be a surprisingly enjoyable distraction. If nothing else it’s an interesting presentation of metalcore and I think it’s interesting that it’s being lumped in with other metalcore bands doing the nu metal thing cause despite some surface level superficial elements it really doesn’t sound like that fodder at all

what is mediocre to one person is mind numbingly dull and generic to another. things i once considered average i now hate due to their very mediocrity (a spectacular failure is more commendable than a dull success)

its easy to see how a person's opinion could could work in opposition to another when it comes to art. all the comments regarding the 'hate' being too much for this are simply dumb. i rated bladee's red light 4.5 stars because its enjoyable to me on a huge level (most people hate that album), but this music is one of the worst things i've ever heard. thus it goes in the 1 pile. most who rated this a 1 probably feel the same. it is not hard to deduce.
