'Yo, Amnesiac and HTTL are two of my top Radioheads'

Nothing wrong with liking any of the Radiohead albums. Although I strongly disagree that they are the best.

I dunno...at the time the mood was Amnesiac was a slip from perfection and possibly oddly compiled as it was from the same sessions as Kid A which is one of the best and most intricately flowing albums ever. Amnesiac simply wasn't.
Then HTTT came out and it sounded like a compromise, a lesser revisit of past highs, and Radiohead became 'just any other fallible band'
'Rainbows' rescued their reputation for genius and KoL didn't really damage it - it just seemed like they wouldn't be a 'big album' band anymore, as that was a 'minor release' in every way at the time.

Hail to the Thief is awesome.
I would change some of the versions of that album for those in Com lag and it would be a perfect 5 album.

I think Amnesiac is brilliant, not a huge fan of HTTF but then my fave Radiohead song is Wolf at the Door so it’s alright

Imagine radiohead following the path of myxamatosis.

Amnesiac and HTTT were both half of the quality required - but ony half the songs on each.
For Radiohead who were considered to have dropped three perfect albums in a row (yes, no one here rates The Bends, but it was still considered something close to a masterpiece in 2001 when Amnesiac came out) a 'half good' and 'interesting' Amnesiac just didn't cut it.
Still prob one of my most ever disappointing albums - I worshipped Computer and Kid A. Amnesiac was such a downer...it's still a downer. HTTT was just a bit bland. They weren't that 'magic' band for me from HTTT on. Just humans innit, not gods.

Amnesiac was always such a clostrophobic trip for me. It's like the album equivalent of a little house on a hill on a rainy night. *ediT: and I love it for that

Half the songs on Amnesiac I could send off into the vacuum of space and not care tbh
It certainly doesn't flow in too appealing a way.

I actually prefer Comp and Pool to Kid A, which is great but somewhat overrated. Still, band's third best though.

Pyramid Song, You and Whose Army, Dollars and Cents, Knives Out, I Might Be Wrong...
the rest ranges from ok to totally unnecessary
also none of those five Amnesiac songs would make a top 25 Radiohead

2+2, Sit Down, Go to Sleep (just about), Sail to the Moon (just about), I Will, There There and Wolf at the Door are solid from HTTT and why I rate that album slightly above Amnesiac...even if it might be ever more of an effort as a full listen.
Plus There There and Wolf WOULD make a top 25 Radiohead tunes.

Neither Amnesiac and HTTT are in my 3 Radiohead albums but they're both excellent and better than this and the studio version of TKOL.

Amnesiac grew on me, HTTF flat out sucks.

OK Comp, Kid A and Rainbows are their peak (obviously), if you want a hot-take then TKOL is next, ahead of the rest.

maybe LftB version, tied with AMSP for fourth best. That top 3 is the peak of course yea. HTTT may be my next favorite after those, even though the middle few songs don't do much for me. Amnesiac is great too but even more inconsistent than HTTT imo with less content, even if it's a more digestible listening experience than HTTT.

Amnesiac and HTTT are on about the same level of good but overrated. I'd take King of Limbs over both of those any day of the week
