Does in the lighter moments to me - coming from someone who doesn't give a shit about the genre distinctions of this stuff, because I don't listen to much of it
If you go outside the exact genre and into the 'rock genre' in general then the first thing I think this sounds closest to is At the Drive-In. A tune like 'Contaminature' in particular.
Coming from a skramz layman, I'm not trying to pull out the big dick in this thread, I know nothing about this genre beyond about ten albums I've heard and rated
