Oh, I don't get those wood furniture notes at all.
But yeah, melancholy to say the least.

This is a much more fulfilling listen, but I think Lighght is still my favorite. The unbridled joy in it is so great. This hits me in a completely different way.

Saw him last night, what an amazing live show. The moments where he went back to his solo roots were my favorite. Just him with his violin and creating amazing loops. It was honestly magical. There were also some fuller versions of songs from on this that I think I preferred in all honesty.
Openers were also really fun. Kid Scientist, the first one, is a St. Louis local and I think only playing this show, but their music was great and they had almost a weird art piece thing going on as well. Pip the Pansy was the other opener, was Kishi Bashi's flute player. She was like this interesting hip hop/electronic act with a big focus on flute. Really good live performer.

I won't deny, this is really good. Not as punchy as lighght but i feel like there's so much more to venture into after repeat listens

Summer of '42, Marigolds, and Violin Tsunami are what I return to most from this. So good. I'm really excited to see the film. And then next week I'm seeing him live!

Didn't realise he was only performing in tiny venues for this tour. London is long sold out
