@Teal I don't hear it. Mixing is way better on this, Courtney is more constrained, and the instrumentation isn't as nu-metal and predictable as Black Lungs. That album was so meh.

Definetly more engaging than the new Architects, but I feel like SB are going in that arena metalcore direction as well. They do it better than Architects, but I am not feeling the evolution overall

Not at all. This is better than what Tesseract has made since 2013. Better than anything off the new Architects. I love it, and think this is gonna be the poppier end of their album. Their 4 other Rise singles have been exceptional.
