You can definitely rate a 1 on a single listen, heck if the style is so awful on the first few songs you’d rate them as terrible then throw a 1 on that.

Just thought if you’re struggling to understand the worth of this then try a second listen. If it’s so painful you abandon it - that’s a 1

Heard it twice now (& definitely never again). I got a little enjoyment out of 2 tracks on here, just trying to decide if that's enough to avoid the 1/5. Technically circa-22% (kind of how I'm feeling right now) is still a 1/5.

Lol. That was me with Everything Now last year. I enjoyed 2 tracks and thought the rest was nearly unlistenable. Still wasn’t enough to avoid the 1. That was one of the most gratifying 1’s I’ve ever placed.

That release got the 1.5 treatment too, must've gone soft in my old age.

Demo did you follow the song's instructions and give yourself a try?

Depends if the lyrics are alluding to masturbation or not as that's how I interpreted it. They're so thoughtful & complex that I'm still struggling to decipher them.

I made it through 1.5 of the singles. Utterly vapid. I could probably jive with it on New Year's if I was all Champagned up and sparkly-eyed though.

I'm personally loving this, not as many hooks as their past records but lots of growth.

I really dig the first half for sure. Trying to get all of it to grow on me, but the last half seems to be a lost cause. All the Muzak kinda ruins it. I’m trying to embrace the cheesiness because I loved M83’s Junk for its cheesy nature but for some reason it’s not doing it for me here exactly.

I have a complicated relationship with this record- I find myself either loving the songs or not caring about them at all. I feel like this would've benefited majorly from having some of the more dull tracks cut completely, and that's coming from someone who loves the entirety of their last record.

Really getting black mirror vibes from "It’s Not Living". Its chorus sounds similar to the song "heaven is a place on earth" they used in the San Junipero episode .

"I’m apologising for the fact my words could INSINUATE that misogyny in culture and music is an exclusively hip hop (black) issue. I do not believe that. What I believe is that I’m not educated enough to speak on THAT properly and a big part of that is this white dick that I have"

more white guilt nonsense ugh. why are humans so fucking stupid.
