Tbf all he did was ask who you were. I mean, like, you have 144 posts which suggests you're pretty new but then you seem to 'know' stuff like the site is 'dying' and that it's 'another episode' of 'sputhypeshow', which suggests that you've been here for a while or that you're just good at pretending like you have. I'd argue that he in fact WAS showing you respect by asking who you are because it shows he views you as an international man of mystery!!

I mean this is solid and all but I must admit I don't understand why this is seen as goat. Personally I think the latest Horrendous album is a much stronger dm album from this year for one. What am I missing here?

New Horrendous takes a much more avant-gardish approach, while this is with both feet firmly in the OSDM of old. I might be wrong, but you strike me as someone who's more enamored with metallic stuff that slightly breaks the mold as opposed to the stripped down "trve" approach.

You're bang on with that assessment for the most part. I do really value originality and "brave" (for lack of a better word) songwriting, but I do enjoy some plain old tried n true albums too. Thought that the latest Tomb Mold slightly edges this too and that album isn't exactly tearing dowb foundational formulas. I guess I just don't see how this is head and shoulders above a lot of other OSDM contemporaries. It's great but is it really THAT much better? Maybe just me ^^

Tomb Mold's new album is so fucking good! Great year for death metal, to be fair. Found some great music through the 'similar bands' links as well.

Personally I think this is leagues above the latest Tomb Mold.
To be fair, it's not easy to really put the reasons to word why I like or dislike something or why I feel something is better than the other. For me it all boils down to the 'click'.

Agreed. Quality death metal here. Certainly the best one of its kind this year.

I've started to really like Nekropsalms while Black Death was really the only album of theirs I was listening to. This one rules
