You’re not alone Dewi, that first half run I’d unreal. Consistently excellent album overall mind.

I don’t know the singer, so I always imagine a 25 years old hardcorish Meg Ryan singing

Great review, just read it while taking a listen. This is really solid so far. I love that dichotomy you mentioned, keeps this from souring

Thanks Julian. Unfortunately, no merit, I cried in the forums to have it featured like a little bitch lol
But hey if it gets more people to check it, so be it.

Everybody who's retroactively getting into Extol now because of these guys should also check out Fleshkiller. It's the side project from Ole Borud, who did clean vox and some guitars in Extol. If you like Extol, you'll probably like them as well.

This is awesome!

Digging this pretty good

Fleshkiller brings the riffs but I can't get past the vocals. The cleans sound just like Extol, i.e. bad (yeah, sorry) and the harsh vox have range but no personality to them. Also the incredibly on-the-nose Christianese lyrics are so dorky.
BUT, they do bring the riffs.

Haven't looked into lyrics yet but both harsh and clean vox sound great to me
