I can't believe I'm saying this but strong song-writing aside, I just am not getting the hype. I've been following this band for ages now and I think they've done better than this (including Pelagial even). Maybe it'll grow on me.

pelagial is pretty easy for a newcomer, magnum opus is precambrian
