Yea, I'm nit asking for the vocals to be in the spotlight. They're pretty sterile, that's my complaint

Well the way I look at it their last 3 releases heavily feature different aspects of their music. Like, The Mountain was all about the vocals, Affinity was very keyboard and effect driven and Vector is kind of about the guitars and drumwork. So honestly I don't really see the less featured vocals necessarily as a downside. The somewhat lack of emotion in his delivery also fits the songs thematically and lyrically in a way. Too bad you're not feeling it but hey at least you can enjoy the instrumental work.
TL;DR: Too bad you're not feeling the vocals, imo they fit the themes and lyrics in a way.

That Muse-moment at the end of A Cell Divides is cool. It probably is their most consistent, but I like all their latest 3 records because they are so different from eachother. It's remarkable how each one has his own vibe while still being an obvious Haken record

A Cell Devides is very Leprous- and Muse-esque, right. The last seconds are probably more on the musey side, I love that part

I also kind of accepted the over prosessed harmonies on Ross' voice. I fits with the production and the songs themselves.

I’m glad I checked this out today, definitely puts itself in the top of the year for me. Veil is such a great song and the final minute of A Cell divides is amazin

Just bought this album in audiophile 24 bit. It sounds brilliant on a hi res DAP and hi res headphones. I was originally on the fence about getting this one because of the reviews and comments, but I’m glad I took the plunge. I purchased Aquarius with it, and, so far, I’ve been listening to Vector more. Great album. I think their vocalist is superb.

I could see The Mountain growing on me. It's like Visions, but more streamlined, more djenty and with these Gentle Giant moments. It just didn't grab me, but it's prog so maybe it still needs some time.
My ranking is based ob my enjoyment so other people's opinions wont change much of that. I'd be curious about your guys rankings though

For me it's getting more and more difficult to rank their discography. ATM it would look something like:
Affinity > Visions > The Mountain > Vector > Aquarius
I can swap the first three around at will depending on my mood, they are all amazing.
