C'mon that number is a little high for my liking, I think you may be exaggerating, just slightly. And who's to say it's me fucking up, maybe I'm the enlightened one?

Criticising death metal lyrics, all about dem riffs/instrumentation m/

It's a relatively minor issue when compared to the uninteresting riffs & instrumentation, not to mention the 'neutering' production. Doesn't stop the lyrics from being a tad embarrassing, even within the genre(s).

I honestly don't get the production complaint, sounds great on headphones.

This is more subdued than the Satanist though, so I can understand the 'boring' argument.

This was p decent. Not exactly blown away after first listen though. Some cool moments throughout though so gonna give this a few more spins.

The production isn't exactly lo-fi, nor is it (presumably) meant to be, so I think it's fine to complain on this occasion.

lol the production IS pretty bad, especially on the distorted guitars. That's really my only complaint about the record though.

Yes it's bad, but not because of some purposefully shitty lo-fi values though. They haven't even nailed the atmosphere correctly, it sounds muffled yet the songs should be huge.

Either way it just doesn't sound right.

I agree with demon here. this album is clearly not aiming for that traditional second wave lofi sound so I think it's fair game to have a go at the production.

Demon's observations are always precise, when enhancing the bad of things though (cause he's a demon) X) also he is even more accurate when he's in his season (Fall)...all my ratings are frequently 1.5 - 2 points above Demon's cause I'm a "monty python's bright side of life" kinda guy :º :º :º :º even with music about Satan...
