New album is very good for what it is but I'm just so burnt out on this strain of post-hardcore

It's getting better with each spin for me so far. Probably 4-5 listens in so far.

I definitely prefer the more aggressive songs like Domino and Hysteriantics personally

The last track slaps so hard.

The harder tracks are the best agreed.

I FORGOT THE NAME OF THE PERSON I'M ABOUT TO MEET

Not my favorite song, but that part is undeniably catchy lol.

"it's DGD song structures with Circa-esque vocals and lyrics (in that they aren't DGD random word vomit)"

Imagine being one of a large group of people who consider Mess a "genius lyricist"

Also I get fall of try vibes all over the place. Solipsism almost sounds like Erak wrote it which is never a bad thing. That outro is so good.

Yeah, new album has officially converted me into a fan of these guys. New Age Filth is like all the best elements of DGD, Circa Survive, and The Fall of Troy wrapped into one neat package.

Misfire chorus is so boppy, how dare they not come back to it a third time

settling on a 3.5 for New Age Filth which is closer to like a 3.7

I like the highlights on here far more (Devotion Cuts through A Lesson In Lust are my top 3) so I'm actually thinking NAF might be my least favorite HTS

Really digging the new one. Lot of people saying it sounds like Mars Volta which I haven't checked out too much. Any song recs for those guys that might get me into them more?

Mars Volta recs you mean? and honestly, it's really just Misfire giving Volta vibes, these guys are verrrrrrry different

but still, listen to Frances The Mute and Deloused like....now

if you legit only want a few songs umm Cygnus, Eriatarka, and Goliath.
