I hate Paul's gradual vocal change throughout the years. And I also know it's not because his voice is faltering or whatever, he purposefully sings in this whiny, nasal tone and it's just so trash. OLTA was the last time he sounded really good and his voice sounded full. El Pintor still worked despite it, but on here it's just so grating. You can hear it on live performances too.

Starting to like all the released tracks, they’re nothing groundbreaking but it’s good enough for me.

a few gems here but definitely sags in the back half. pretty sleepy and a bit dull. always hated the weird thin and muddy production here. guess they were going for a vintage thing but it does not work. the rover still gets me going though.
also it probably matters is top tier interpol. and this is definitely better than the next which is zzz city.
