Somebody really really likes Symphony X

Honestly just the fact that they were able to be in top form consistently in general is insane enough. How they were able to make so many albums consecutively from Divine (and hell, maybe even Damnation) onwards and have almost every one of them be at the very least a 4 is something to commend. Other prog metal bands would kill to have that consistency, though Fates Warning in particular starting with Spectre is definitely up there (And yes, that also includes Inside Out which is actually quite underrated as well).

You make a good point, very consistent band with a consistent sound yet always improving.

Unfortunately they 'improved' a bit too much in later years...

Listened to this on a whim and found it excellent
I guess paradise lost was a dumb introduction to the band
This shit hits so hard and this is coming from someone who's not really into the whole power prog thing

Part of me feels like I should have a Symphony X 5.0 but I dunno which it would be

Tough choice ngl, I gave this one out of all of them a 5, but that rating I've made like a decade ago (aka when I was ~13-14), today I'm not that confident in it anymore. Maybe I'd transfer it over to Twilight? Food for thoughts

If I did have to 5 a Symphony X album, I'd probably have to go with Divine myself, mostly for personal reasons as it's the first one I got attached to and listened to regularly, so it has that sentimental value for me.
