Idk, she's not unattractive to me at all obviously, but I hardly think of this as some sort of new album that I love just because Im really attracted to the singer, like its the new Pale Waves or smth

I don't know man. Only you and Fantano don't like this record.

I agree about it not having super creative songwriting but I don't know why that's a problem. This is just a very listenable album. Relaxing and relatable

And "all about 1-5” - yes, absolutely. "Oh what a world" is my current favourite. But "golden hour" ranks pretty high for me too

I've emailed her about including more songs about getting fucked in a barn but I haven't heard back yet.

I usually just give one or two 5s a year at most, but this deserves it IMO. The whole album transports you to a blissful world - even the couple sad songs.

I don't get the 4.5s and 5s. This is like a 3.5 at best.

I would have given it whether Sputnik liked it or not. But it's nice to see the general opinion favorable.

Correction: a guilty pleasure 3.5 at best

A 3 if you think Taylor Swift is one of the artists of the decade

A 2.5 if you can be bothered to drop a 2.5 rating

A .5-2 rating if you don’t strictly need a song called ‘Velvet Elvis’ in your life that sounds like it was written by an AI bot

‘Only you and Fantano don’t like this record’.

Dunno, once shit gets real and the average drops a couple of points and people realise they have to call this their AOTY or squeeze it in their top 10 and get embarrassed I see it levelling out at a 3.6 here and a 3.3-4 on RYM.

Same deal as MGMT which everyone wanted to proclaim a stunning album just because it was a slow January.

Also I wouldn’t say I don’t like this album as such it’s more a genre rating, ‘Grammy bait MOR pop’ has a 2 ceiling for me so this is a very high Doof rating for this type of album. This might actually be the highest ever Doof rating of an album like this, it’s like the most pleasant entirely bland album I’ve ever heard.

Her baby-ish ‘contemporary pop’ singing sorta sucks bad though, the country singing is better - if just average
