Looking like Rolo Tomassi is gonna overtake these gents, but it was no easy feat. No "big-name" releases so far, but the year's been very enjoyable for me thus far. March is peppered with a handful of planned records that I'm anticipating, can't wait to dig in.

I really like this, I know my 3.5 doesn't portray that but I feel it'll grow on me. I've just listened to so much of this style of music nothing really feels fresh anymore. Very good stuff though.

Nothing wrong with a 3.5, though I do admit I undervalue them myself. Generally, a 3.5 is a great release, but it's not one that I would actively listen to. I can hear it a few times, enjoy it, and that's about the extent. 4.0s and above go into the territory of anything I'd play on a regular basis.

Does for me. 2.5 is listenable, the very definition of average. 3 means it's above that (obviously). Typing this just seems weird though.

I give a 3 when I don't like the album but I think it's objectively decent, if that makes sense. 3.5 when I like it and it's good but I will rarely go back to it. 4 being the same but I re-visit it regularly. 4.5 blows me away on first listen, makes me play it again right after it's finished.
5 is a 4.5 solidified by the test of time.
And I explained all this because I am dead bored at work right now. lol

a 2.5 is a 'meh' for me. I dont hate it , I dont particularly like it but its not awful.
A 3 I like , Its good. It means I quite like it, Not reinventing the wheel but I might come back to it once in a while but not on the reg. If its a new ish band it also means ill probably keep an eye on them now. But 3 is solid i think so 3.5s are obviously much more so
