Bert's always been shitty. Back towards their first two albums Bert and Gerard Way were super close, and I've seen a interview with Gee where he talks a little about how toxic bert is.

I guess Bert did not like me when I met the band. he smiled and didn't talk shit but the rest of the band signed my shirt and he was the final one to sign, but turned it around and signed the back of it. dunno lol but I got the original guitarists signature so I'm happy to have those other three signatures hanging on my wall and not his.

Agreed on the mix being a little off but it honestly adds to the overall vibe of the album

Not sure this one is a good example to clarify your point though since that's a long time ago. I think by the time he went sober (I think in the Vulnerable era) he already changed.



Now, Storm, The Canyon IS a really good album, a solid 4 for me, would put this as my favourite album since s/t. You just take time to absorb it, since this is perhaps their least accessible album I know. Yes, the mix is a bit off that I almost write a whole paragraph in my review to talk about it, but like Advent said it just makes the album so special. Go on and press play.



Listened to the first track, it's really meh. But other than that, other tracks really sound great at their own right.
