There is still a chance Lights will be a five someday but it isn't for me right now. This one, even a year later, still wrecks me. Lights is beautiful but it doesn't leave nearly as potent an impression.

So good, I think I actually like the audiotree recording of it more than the album version. Not sure what it is, but the audiotree version just has something about it. Maybe it’s just because that’s how I discovered her.

I have finally finished re-listening to all my old 5s, demoting some. I was fully expecting to be demoting this because the sad-girl/drink bleach bc I hurt everyone close to me ... schtick has in general aged kind of poorly. But this album holds up. Incredible voice. Really honest, raw songwriting. Still a classic - lightning in a bottle. Definitely one of my favourite albums still.

Her feature on their newest record is great too. I like all of the boygenius guys tbh, Phoebe has the best discog imo but tbh I think Julien is probably the best singer
