The song is a beast on its own, I actually didn't want it to be on the album because it's a perfectly immersive experience as it is.

Just listened, it's good, enigmatic. Can't say I connect any deeper than that, wouldn't say it's my favourite here.

Think the last three are my favourites. 'Chains' is my top pick of the rockers and the last two almost sound like something new, close to pure romantic ambience.

Album is a strange creature for me

Place is just so wondrously evocative and transportative and immersive.

"So no one feels the breeze?"

I got a hole in my pants' knee and the cool morning air is drafting up to my balls, does that count?

Thinking of a Place might be this band's best song idk, it blows me away every time I jam. I also love that it was released as a single. It's this year's "Blackstar."

Ive played a number of different albums in my class this week and every time I play something that isn't this, I get the feeling like I'm doing something wrong.

In Chains is my fav thus far I think. Keep returning to that track. Great follow-up to Thinking Of A Place as well.

Hmm. For me the heavy Springsteen and Dylan vibes undermine this and prevent it from feeling like its own thing, so I can't see my rating climbing any higher. This is an issue I have with other record collector / tributey bands, like The Horrors and Tame Impala. Many of these bands' ideas feel borrowed and this bothers me, no matter how well executed they are.

But hey, still a nice release.

That's fair poly; for me though originality isn't that important as long as the execution is on point, as I think it is here. Plus, this has a level of texture and atmosphere that sets it apart from its classic rock touchstones.

Fair enough, me I like suprises, and the feeling of "I've never heard anything like this before"

This does have stellar production and a warm, inviting 'fuzz' around it. Nothing mindblowing, or astoundingly original, but a very nice atmosphere. I'm probably going to have this on in the background for the next few days
