This album is just a lot of fun,so many awesome riffs. Its continuously growing on me, continuum and call broken arrow are highlights.

@SweeneyTodd the mainstream music critic community is vastly different to the type of community websites like this and RYM are a part of.
Also because they're a bunch of plebs.

Who even uses metacritic for album ratings anyways? it has always been a joke.

It's the gold standard for video games and TV shows, second to RT for movies, and borderline worthless for music.

you do realize that metacritic doesn't technically rate anything, right? how is it a joke?

Correct me if I'm wrong but they curve different mediums differently, yes? So music is curved much more than movies, right? That's part of why it sucks... like TV shows on RT have so little differentiation it makes it meaningless. But mainly just cause the reviews they pull for music are very basic. Like I'm not gonna put faith in a Kerrang review ffs.

I was talking about the user ratings, i know how metacritic works and wasnt blaming the site, just the people that vote on albums there, since they have generally bad taste

@gnodab oh yeah well in that case i agree 100%. the user reviews are an excellent source of accidental comedy, though.

The only user scores I ever care about are Amazon's and that's only to see if there's a recurring theme about a problem with the product. Otherwise I never even look at them for anything, especially music.

Well... except this site. I sorta kinda trust you guys. Usually.

I just skipped through most of it and I don't know if I'm just not in the mood or what but it sounded kinda samey aside the singles.
