idk man. life is just hard and everyone feels like shit a good amount of the time. i don't think you have to be clinically identified or whatever to write depressing shit from a place of sincerity and respect. his stuff generally resonates for me and i dig the music. if i hated an artist so much or thought what they were doing was doing real damage i would probably find some way to respond to that other than a music blog board of casual internet fans

who verified him faking depression? mental illness doesn't typically just vanish forever. i just don't get how he is for sure not dealing with something? and i'm not even intimating that he is, i just don't know what we are anchoring this theory to

hm. i'll have to scout it out

art has always been avenue for expression of emotions that aren't good to face head-on; artists amplifying or stylizing that is kind of a given. i have zero problem with that...

do you think that if someone who is genuinely depressed can form some kind of connection with his music then it becomes somewhat validated in a way? not bladee, but i mean moreso the music he makes

dude, sach, i really don't get where you're getting this interview info (im looking but there's like nothing i can find)
also as someone who has been depressed and still has lapses into suicidal ideation i really dont get how you can just dismiss someone like that

what if he's doing it as a sort of boon for people who are dealing with depression though? seems like a lot of ppl connect with his stuff pretty deeply. i mean tbh i don't know shit about him i'm just spitballing.
also in his music i hear him mostly talking about weed ? does he explicitly talk about doing hard drugs or something?

yeah im missing these hard drug references and this whole bladee faking depression thing completely

interesting. i'm trying to think about whether i would be upset or turned off by his music even if i discovered that all of this was true... i'm not sure that i would tbh. i mean i don't condone the parading of some mock mental illnesses around or anything but i feel like i connect with his stuff pretty intimately and I actually have spent a huge chunk of my life neck deep in addiction so... ya idk.

"i made red light now it's trying to stop me//but i can't let it make me" actually reads to me like "i finished the new album but i can't rest on my laurels"

Album Rating: 4.5
and yeah, i connect with his music. it's helped me no matter how it was made and i'm thankful for it. not really concerned and most bladee fans don't seem concerned at least from what i've read. obviously its just not for you

"BLADEE: The music is not about drugs."

i dont catch the drug references at all. his lyrics just seem surreal, grimy, ethereal, dark, dramatic and really image-driven.
