I like RTJ, but I think this is their worst so far. Not feeling it. Any of you fucks saying RTJ is hip hop for non-hip-hop fans should probably check this. It's probably your new jam.

that makes no sense given that most people calling this hip-hop for non-hip-hop fans are, funnily enough, hip-hop fans

Yeah, it was a dumb criticism to begin with, but seems to be a general critique from people here that don't like the first two lps.

As great as this is, I don't think they'll ever top RTJ2.

""far, far more" just reads as amateurish and redundant. "

So you hold random comments to the same standard of literacy as reviews? Fuckin assclown

On my 3rd listen. Seems there are 4 or 5 killer tracks and a bunch of mediocre to bad tracks. Some of the beats are total shit and the verses do not make up for them.

Dude, I respect your opinions and everything. But, this is probably the most passive-aggressive review I have ever read. So, did you like it or dislike it? Just come out and say it. And, I disagree with your assessment of the last track. It certainly was not a "failed bid"

I dont think its exactly 'hip hop for non hip hop fans' that was just a wind up but there is most definitely a wave of RTJ fans who shout from the rooftops about RTJ being the greatest thing in Hip hop when clearly the only stuff they listen too is more mainstream orientated hip hop music. And the bigger names. So I see where that comes from tbh. Theyre pretty annoying and ive had many conversations with those people when its clear they havent got a clue. I also know plenty of heads that like RTJ though. As with most things its somewhere in between. I actually enjoy the first record, Second wore off pretty fast but I liked it,Is it what it is. They killed live too but this is real RTJ by numbers run of the mill Hip hop for the EDM crowd for me. Which is exactly what i expected tbh. Which is fine if you like that. Theres no right or wrong. I just find it on the whole pretty lame. And worse than the last 2. But id never slate Mike or El for doing what they do. Especially as El gave me 2 of my fave records ever. I can get why people like it but can agree more with people who dont.

love this greer comment: "most rtj fans are white dudes who repost shit about identity politics and minority oppression without reading the articles"
