tbh the skramz songs are one of my least fav parts of this. they rely way too much on rhythmic "hits" (jeromes dream did this so much better) and the melodic material is beyond recycled.
basically just an amorphous appropriation of emo/hardcore that has no identity, just screaming and banging for the sake of it, like an adult temper tantrum. and don't get me started on the piano interludes

that's kinda how i feel, the only thing that really stands out is blood from a stone. whether it stands out in a good way or not is your choice

like i feel the centerpoint is Stone, everything around it is to emphasize it. Not enough to warrant more than a 3 imo

this is why the closer works so well for me and is the best song on the album imo, because it goes against this in a sense and actually creates an atmosphere that resonates hard with loss and anger that the skramz songs don't really accomplish

I just don't think more immediate and in your face works that well for the band for the reasons YakNips explained on the previous page
I'd much rather hear an album with songs like "everything is in your hands" and the closer, and have the band expand and work on the sound going for them on these two songs
