So I've listened to the album four times now and it's struggling to settle in.

It's like it doesn't hit home the way Wrongdoers did. All tracks sort of meld together and I struggle to tell one from the other.

Pretty meh so far

Was feeling that way for a few listens for sure. Don't feel that way anymore though, this album is definitely on par with Wrongdoers imo

Yeah I think I'm about ready to say that also.

Couldn't be happier. Thought their days of making a masterpiece were behind them.

So would you say that it's better than Wrongdoers, in your opinion, or vice versa?

Wrongdoers instantly caught my attention though.

This...I play while driving, get distracted and when I look, it's already on track 10 and I only remember hearing like track 1 and 2. lol

This is from a guy who always listens to his latest favourite metal albums in his car, in traffic, while en route to work

this and Wrongdoers are just about equal for me, both are superb but I give the slight edge to Wrongdoers

Funeral Singer is as complete a track as you're gonna get from NJ. Nothing like that for me on PS

If I had to choose, I'd go for Wrongdoers, but Polar Similar is really something too. Still think BTMAKTC is NJ masterpiece.

Man, I wish these guys were headlining their upcoming tour. I have 0 interest in seeing For Today, but I'm going to the show because my cousin is flying in just to go.

wrongdoers is so tight, near perfect execution of what they're about. this is more adventurous and naturally there's more missteps so it does seem a little worse but still incredible

After one and a bit listens of the CD I'm still not too sure about this album, it hasn't grabbed me instantly the way Wrongdoers did. Seems like this record is colder and darker sounding than the previous one which had an almost 'fun' edge to it (on many tracks).

However I get the impression this might be a 'grower' and I dig the three songs that were unleashed prior to release (1000000 watts, The Planet and Everyone talking over everyone else).

It is definitely a grower. It has lost a little bit of its novelty after repeated listens but it still an absolute juggernaut of a release.

Juggernaut indeed. Used to think it was back-stacked, but now id say mid to front stacked. Agreed about it being much colder and less of a barnburner than Wrongdoers, more slow moving and bleak
