Also, loving BoneyKing's attitude about this (not liking this that much but self-imposing to "take the negativity elsewhere"). Now that's posture.

I find it odd that Boney is digging "I See A Darkness" but not this. The title track of that record definitely came to mind when I was listening here.

Yes, this record is quite Bonnie Prince Billy-ish, though distinctly Nick Cave. It's just the gloomy-doomy thing to it.

And probably Cave's finest hour - this coming from a Nick Cave obsessive, here.

Maybe more like Cash singing 'I See a Darkness'

Not Cash imho, he wouldn't be on the verge of breaking down at any moment like Cave is on "Girl in Amber" or "I Need You". Seriously, "Girl in Amber" feels like being sliced in half and emotionally obliterated while transcending to this miserable mental state of trance. Does that make sense?

Just a perfect album, it knocked me out before the end of the third track. Skeleton Tree has the ability to affect receptive people on a deeply emotional level. An easy 5/5

Thank you Nick for your wonderful gift.

Talk about a "gift", Z3NO! This came out on my birthday (yesterday). First thing I did that day was listen to it and I was completely floored, as I still am. 100% agree with what you stated above!

Wait, Lucid. Angel Olsen? What? Around what time in the video?

@Gleam I'm a musician, and what Nick Cave has achieved here is beyond what I thought was possible. From now on I will be mentioning Mr Cave in the same breath as the peerless Ian Curtis.

Oh yeah, Happy Birthday, I hope you had a good one.

Oh, Sowing. I'm so hoping you review this. The reviews so far have been amazing as far as Sputnik goes, but I'd really like to see/read your take on it.
