I'd say 20% of what I listen to and what I've rated here is pop so I don't get why people throw the 'you aren't fair to pop' criticism. If you dislike modern rock but have every Motörhead and Led Zeppelin album rated highly no one says you hate all rock music :/

To me something like Beach House or Yumi Zouma is definitely pop music, definitely as much as stuff like this or Lana Del Rey. It's just not marketed quite as transparently.

If you did highly rate every Zep and Motorhead album but hated modern rock I wouldn't say you hate rock in general just have a taste for the classics. Have a few friends like that, it's annoying but you accept it I guess.
