I mean, I love the sequels, but... George did the right thing in having Ian McDiarmind edit himself into the old movies for future DVD releases. The hologram dude in 4 was god-awful and the make-up effects in 5 and 6 were just... eeeewwww

Not at all, the original has issues, but they're infinently better movies for so many different reasons. Even beyond story telling. Also o thought you were joking about 1 being the best, wtf?

Pinklett has a passion for the movies and I love seeing in depth literary analysis, even if it was mostly for the story than anything else.

I do like it and he doesn't, but I also heavily disagree with some of criticisms. I also heavily disagree with a lot of his praises for the sequels.

Ah, fair enough. I can watch anyone praise or tear into something when they have the passion or the depth for it, so I liked watching his prequel review because it helped place a lot of the issues I had with it squarely.

I wouldn't hate Plinkett's rev so much if it didn't cause this giant uproar of Phantom Menace hating bandwagoners. He turned hating Episode I into a meme, where people hated the fucking movie because it was popular to hate it.



Other than his crappy humor, I suppose there is nothing inherently wrong with his vids.

The Room was designed as a satirical black comedy. 90% of reviewers, including RLM, completely missed this and just assumed it was a poorly made thriller.
