im new to this kind of 'music'.Its the first record that i got from Swans. This is one of the heaviest and weirdest shit that ive ever heard. It's solid, it's deep,it's freaky huge and cold...I love it!!My room decomposes in front of me..Any other bands like this?

Digested this one over a couple of days, splitting it up into three chunks as the vinyl version does. Found it to be uniformly excellent. If anyone's struggling with it I'd suggest this method.

i like children of god the best but i'm not a fan of this band in the slightest FoS, so take that with a grain of salt

soundtracks is a huge hodgepodge of different genres so might require some time to get into it, i would probably start with children

Getting into Swans seems like such a hassle. All their works seem unjustifiably long.

i dunno, i think their best work could be really awesome if i cared more for it musically personally, but i think it's definitely demanding of someone's time.

to be fair, I wasted over 3 hours of my life listening to Corey Feldman's new double album twice, so I could probably set aside a few hours for Swans

filth is a decent starting point too, it's just fairly noisy so for a guy like fos it might not be the optimal one
