EVERY song on Obscura is a classic in it's own right. EVERY single song from track 1 to 12. No one gives a fuck about From Wisdom to Hate man. It's just a decent album that only receives it's modicum of attention because everything else before it was so fucking amazing.

Compared to most tastes, DM is pretty abrasive, but yeah, I get ya Sach.

I mean yea compared to Little River Band this could be considered abrasive. This is pretty easy to listen to since Gorguts is one of the bands that got me into death metal. Just comes with getting used to certain sounds. I was listening to Converge and other noisy hardcore/grind before that though so I didn't find it too harsh.

That's easy for someone who's used to harsh sounds to say though. I mean Obscura was pretty easy for me to get into as well but it's not hard to see why someone would think it's not an easy listen.

i don't mind abrasiveness in music, and i don't really think Obscura is abrasive.
the reason it's hard for me to sit thru and digest is because of how intricate and technical and anxiety-inducing it can be. it can just feel overwhelming and exhausting at times
