I dont believe this rev was written intentionally to get the whole site to question everything about itself. I agree that this shouldn't be flagged, IF this site aims to be serious and respected. I, for one, enjoy reading the comic reviews and occasional comic news that spawns around here, but I don't see any humor behind this. At least not any good humor. In any case, it shouldn't be featured and staff reviews should stick to being serious if this site wants any relevance imho. But seriously, this is probably the worst review I've ever read here. Even for the standards of intentional trolling (which is absolutely an abuse of power of a staff reviewer), this has no value. Just take it off the site and be done with this thread.

if you kinda agree then you can clearly see that it's pretty well written. obviously it doesn't get too descriptive but it's far from the "worst review ever" on here

It never talks about the music or album itself, just reads as an old man ranting about kids these days..

How can people not like this review? If you think an album is bad, you're under no obligation to sugarcoat it. Rudy's Owl City - All Things Bright and Beautiful review is my favorite review on this whole site and it's entirely a joke.

Also, I'm biased, I think Deftones are horribly overrated as a rule, I gave KNY a 2.5.

It's a well written review, granted. But it doesn't read as a joke I suppose. Quite frankly, I found nothing funny here, specially when the reviewer already made a negative review on another Deftones record. I wouldn't be surprised if this was serious tbh

not good

i am no fanboy and yet don't deny that i like many deftones songs. this album is, for me, without doubt their worst since 2003. however i must agree wholeheartedly with StormChaser in that this review should never have been posted by a staff reviewer. it is solely a puerile attack on deftones fans seemingly for no other reason than they like deftones. personally i'm very disappointed with this album and feel that it's unlikely deftones will return to what made them special
