You're right it is subjective but for something to be emotional it needs a bit of buy-in. That's why I said I'm disappointed and not that this band sucks. They don't. I just can't pick up what they're putting down and it's the same with Haken for me.

I still like these bands I just feel I'm missing out on the feeling others get.

It's hard to describe - I feel like they've gone too big for a debut. Too polished, too ambitious? Feels disingenuous maybe. They're clearly talented musicians though so taking nothing away from their execution.

There's a new music video out, for the title track. Pretty nice, imo, the classic ''half-time-the-band-plays-half-time-we-show-a-story'' but it's a bit artsy at times and I like it.

Me too, this is the song that gets me returning to the album most.

Again the post rock influences really makes this record all the more better for me. That keyboard/strings build up in the middle of Contemplation is astounding and chilling.

I've been jamming this and DAD on repeat lately so I think I'm still there. Two totally different albums but as far as 2015 goes, this album takes it.

I suddenly became super hooked on The Closet I've Come today. That has such a massive atmosphere and I love that tremolo.

Haha I wonder that when it comes to all modern, widely acclaimed prog. Cause he's...the "prog master"

This album really nails heaviness without forcing it.

God I can't fucking wait for their new album. Had an awesome conversation with Jamie of this band and he's a swell guy. Very grateful for their fans.

Now I hope it does just to see you suffer :-)

As jokes aside, I could totally see these guys teaming up with someone like Devin Townsend. That would be awesome.
