Nice, Cobweb and t/t are 5/5 for me but the rest are pretty similar to my scores/general preferences.

Nice Lark!
Why'd you take so long getting to this one?

yeah, the first half is pretty much spotless.
I have no idea doof, but I sure didn't think it would be this great.
where do I go on from here?

Nixon is their biggest, lushest chamber pop moment and is also a classic imo, so you can't go wrong there.
If you want more like this, OH (Ohio) is probably the closest to this style and is also amazing.
If you want something a bit weirder/more avant-garde at times, their debut or How I Quit Smoking are good ones to get too.
If you want an almost complete transformation, FLOTUS is a wonderful atmospheric beauty with a much more electronic sound (and Kurt's vox mostly vocoderized).

Well that didn't make it any easier. Might chech How I Quit Smoking.

Ha, sorry! It is a bit of a daunting discography but you really can’t go wrong with anything.

It's been about three years since I first heard this and I still haven't heard everything they've done. They're the kind of band that reveals their magic over time or at just the right moment that comes completely unexpectedly. They're very much like The National in that regard.

Well ‘How I Quit Smoking’ has the classic album title and is a 5 so decent next pick Lark

Well, for me national was a revelation from the get go, but I do understand what you're saying, cause it might take me a while to go through their discog and really appreciate what they're doing with various soundscapes and the odd and sometimes disjointed lyricism. That sealed it doof, I'm all on board How I Quit Smoking!

Smoking is good next but the one after that has to be Nixon I feel

I really can't say anything yet other than Theöne is a beautiful track

'Theöne' is the best track...although people always say 'The Man Who Loved Beer' is the best one

I like that one a lot too, same with life's little tragedy and suzieju

“Theone” and “Man Who Loved...” are the two 5/5 tracks on that one...gun to my head “Theone” is better though.
How I Quit Smoking is a bit of a weird one, I’m not often in the mood for it but when I am it’s amazing.

Trying to remember why I didn't like this, all I know is that I prefer both Damaged and Nixon. Maybe I will need to give this another shot soon.

Def give this another go, you have to be up for the slow crawl but this is such a perfectly paced, atmospheric beauty.
That said you should def try some of their other stuff - I bet Mr. M would be to your liking.

'Mr. M' really got me into Lambchop as before then I'd only listened to 'Damaged' and 'Nixon' on and off over about 5 years, just weren't a band I was that into back then

'Mr. M' wasn't quite a breakup album for me but something close - I'd just moved into a new flat rental and I remember it was the first album I put on in that place. Suited the mood.
The out and out breakup album was 'I Know What Love Isn't' by Jens Lekman. Also Tindersticks 'The Something Rain' came out about the same time - those three albums are forever linked at that place and time for me

This might have the best production of any album I've ever heard - so rich and immersive, and it fits the music like a glove.
