However, your lyrics for Time, as a Symptom are wrong. In fact, you changed my favorite line of the song to something far less captivating and gripping.



"When cruel birth debases, we forget

all the rest that precedes"



Those are the true lyrics, and if you ask me, they are far more thought-provoking and open-ended than "we believe it answers all the rest." In fact Joanna is not proposing that in death all the mysteries of life are answered, indeed she is lending more to the idea that we assume our actions in this life won't matter once we meet our end, that somehow all of the meaning of which we derive from our human journey will be completely erased upon the last moment of being alive. But then she goes on to question such a nihilistic perspective and breathes hope into an otherwise stark and foreboding perspective.
