I'd agree with that assessment, she definitely has her own voice. Desire is shaping up to be my favorite from this, might even make my end of 2015 mixtape. Love that guitar part in the middle.

I'm starting to think the only track I don't like is "I Really Want You To Hate Me". Everything else is incredibly solid. She reminds me of a much darker, angrier Dia Frampton. Which is not at all a bad thing.
The Morning After is beautiful. Each time through this album another song takes it's place at #1 for me.

"Hate Me" has some pretty melodramatic lyrics, but the chorus definitely saves it.

From like 10 pages ago, but I agree, I really do see Thrice's "The Lion and the Wolf" in "The Morning After"

One thing is for certain: I'm glad she played around on a few EPs before releasing a debut LP. It ends up diverse, rather than messy.

True fact. Those EPs were solid, but it helped her move on and make a cohesive and mature album. Of course, there are some lyrics that are immature (Desire, mostly), but then on the opposite end, you have songs like Parade, The Morning After, and Feather, which are beautifully written.
Honestly might bump this to a 4.5, I'm really loving this the more I hear it.

So what you're saying dmp, is that she knows how to write a slow song.

I can see why you'd think the lyrics to Desire are immature but imo she really pulls it off. The beat and the way she sings it makes some of those lines sound so sinister
