Nocturnal is best for sure.

I like the gallop beats here, reminds me a lot of Miasma. I thought Shannon's beats were just boring. He can play, but I felt like I could predict all the drum patterns the first time I head them. These drums, though, seem much more in tune with the riffs. First listen: favorite since Nocturnal.

This band is so consistent, they release a good-to-great album every 2 years. Even the album titles are consistent. One word, three syllables.

I asked them on facebook when they released Ritual why they abandoned the formula of having 10 songs on every record and got the answer "how long is a piece of string"

i think theyre better off with slightly shorter albums, Ritual overstayed its welcome a bit. then again, that album was pretty hit and miss for me so i probably wouldnt have minded the length if the songs were a little better.

Duration of Ritual never bothered me. 45 min really isn't too much.

You should check this out, it's up there with the others. They're keeping the consistency.

They're pretty much at the point where you know what the new album will sound like before the band even writes the first riff.

they're getting a new lead guitarist, so the riffs can't be too predictable next time b

This album is still really good, but it still doesn't have any moment or song that really makes me go "wow" like lots of Nocturnal and Ritual does.
