Act IV is a 4 now, but if I continue to appreciate it more and more it could rival this album
#1 is Sufjan, which everyone likes to accuse of being a safe/predictable pick but when an album is that good it just doesn't matter.

I wasn't saying it to start a fight, just because you always end up in the threads of my top 5-6 albums 1'ing and 2'ing shit. It is what it is though, idrc.
It's hard to get through in one sitting even for people who love it (aka me), but if you do what I did and just pull the top 10-12 songs and put it in a playlist you'll love it.
Granted, my 4.5 rating is still based on the whole, not my custom list.

Yeah I mean it's gimmicky (which I clearly try to acknowledge in my hyperbolic review of this), but the whole thing is so damn showy that it kind of works.

its hard for me to justify a hour and a half long album when it doesn't need to be an hour and a half long. its too much. even for good music its too long.
this has a couple good songs mashed into it tho. I kinda like Funny Feeling.
a lot of them sound the exact same though (and some or them are actually just reprises like the two I Lost My Minds) like No Future and Stranded are pretty much the exact same song

There's definitely some recycling going on here, and maybe it's just because of the length, but it never really bothers me/becomes apparent enough to detract from my enjoyment of things.

and tbh, even tho i think its annoying that there is half an hour of filler extending this out, some of said filler is way better than any of the 'real' songs
like Please is better than pretty much anything longer than 2 minutes on here
