the club scene in the uk has largely been house and grime recently. hoping dubstep has a revival. i'm missing a bunch of big dubstep nights back in bristol which is lame cos when i was there it was basically house or gtfo

i do not miss the dubstep wave tbh but house and jungle were kind of moving on out of here when dubstep was moving on in and i wish it were the other way around

i dont really like jungle but i dig house. and grime is fun.

footwork is kind of on the up and up not sure if it will ever fully take over the clubs here tho

yeah i tear into everything tho

and actually people over here dig on kahn gantz and commodo hard man. when dubstep was big here the elitist attitude was pretty much that uk dub>>>>>>anywhere else and it got emulated hard

ive actually seen kahn here

yeah there isn't much of the trip hop scene left unfortunately

it's basically just house among the student population and then edgy wordly ska jazz whatever nights if you're over like 25. and then a few grime/dubstep/techno/reggae nights scattered about. and obviously the shit clubs too but we don't talk about them. not that I'm complaining cos the city has a fantastic culture compared to most places in the uk.

ok xenophobe baby-boy jordan.

your entire argument unravels tho because its been established that your idea of 'normal' people is strictly limited to your immediate surroundings, because, as is key, you are the everyday typical xenophobic shit-spout australian dude the world loathes. i have a mind-bending revelation for you: different parts of the world have different constantly shifting club scenes! where you live maybe they bang it out to arctic monkeys! over here its currently very common to hear stuff like vince staples, danny brown, vic mensa etc etc in the club. if you weren't so pathetically closed-minded and xenophobic you'd be aware. but, as is typical of your hypocritical ass, instead of realizing you're a fuckin moron who got upset at me for literally the exact same shit youre currently complaining about right this moment, you decided to make a bunch of baseless statements with no back-up whatsoever other than 'YEAH BUT HERE IN DINGO LAND THIS HOW WE DO' and throw a tiddly-wank on a marcupials putty-pouch or whatever it is you tried to describe what is other-wise simply referred to as a temper tantrum. pathetic.

it takes a special kind of stupid to think that saying 'you must go to shit clubs' or whatever it was u were angrily spittin' isn't incendiary, of course i was going to get right back at chya dude, because that is dumb as fuck logic. we live on opposite sides of the planet bro. im sorry you dug yourself a hole and couldnt handle the sweet-canadian-heat so take a walk and cool dude, we dont need you blowing a fuse when you have so many terrible reviews to be writing. ZIIINGGG

"edgy wordly ska jazz"

@arcade tl;dr tbh but lets not forget that i'm the one that actually even lives on the same continent as Vince Staples, you know, the one where its not that uncommon to hear his shit in the club. so if we are going to have a xenophobe war so you can stroke your ego off like a dingo dick then let me remind you that its actually you who lives in backwards land where the toilets flush the wrong way and everyone listens to the wrong music in the clubs :D

¯_(ツ)_/¯ pretty infallible logic there by your retard standards so i guess thats check mate.... MATE rofl smd

"Im pretty annoying irl about what music gets played around me. Im not gunna sit ina car with someone whos jamming shit music for instance. Tho when im at a club if it has a good beat im wilin out mane."

agreed to both parts of this tbh, ill just straight walk over to the ipod at work and switch my bosses shit when he's playing his music if i cant deal with it lol

but when im in club mode i aint half as picky. its about a lot more than the music at that point so as long as it isnt straight awful ill be okay.

i cant deal with drum and bass tho i dont like dancing to that shit

i do the same shit with my roomates. they like to throw on fucking drake and whatever else i dont care at home before going out and i veto that shit until we at the club and Started From the Bottom is playing and im super down
