3. Sometimes a band releases their best stuff early on - sometimes, in metal, that means it's a demo tape. Sometimes, that's their only release! Maybe check some Timeghoul or Rippikoulu.

Plus it took a while for me to 5 this. Started around a 3.5/4 and went up over time, so maybe try revisiting stuff that you don't love on first spin.
