I think it started solo then his wife and a few others joined or something
You Will Eventually Be Forgotten really isn't that bad it just felt very much like fan service in a weird way? Like they leaned very hard into what they thought people loved about the past music and it sounded a bit forced
I haven't really checked a lot of the EP's out but I'm sure the ratings speak for themselves, people seem to hype On Time Spent Waiting a lot if you want to start there

The EP's are overrated honestly. The first EP is kind of cool though as a prelude to this. This is their best work by far though.

Thanks. I’ll check the eps with my expectations tempered a bit. This is a really awesome album though.

Is Anna Flyaway not in the database or something? Listening on Spotify now and it’s really solid. Not quite as good as this album, but def in the same realm. Anyone else listen yet?

Of Course I was Sad to See You Go is amazing. Every Time You Breathe In and My Brother Thinks I’m a Ghost are really good too.

So fucking excited to check that album

Curious to see what you think. Solid on my first listen and I’m sure it’ll grow with subsequent ones.

It's really good. It's just as good as this imo.

Most of the songs aren't as good as the ones here, IMO, but both the singles are excellent, and Make Me Young! is one of the best empire! empire! songs, so very glad it's on there. The album sounds like really well-recorded early e! e! so it's obviously great. :3

I’m utterly in love with it haha, but Keith is actually one of my favorite singers/lyricists, so

At the very least, album captures the essence of this band at their peak I think, which is pretty miraculous, and so, so welcome. I have listened to You Were a Pride of Lions more times in the past couple weeks than I care to admit, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were my most listened-to song this year.

It’s so nostalgic while being good enough to stand on its own, couldn’t ask for more than that really

Yeah I’m really new to these guys, but I’m really liking it. Not as good as this, but still very good

First two tracks were the most immediate and my initial favorites, but It Happened Because You Left and The Next Step to Regaining Control have really grown on me.
Such a consistent album. The only two weak links for me are Rally the Troops and I Am a Snail, but even those are still pretty good.

Was really into this when I was 19 but it just doesn't sound as good anymore. Still think the bookends are great, gotta say tho the vocals are incredibly annoying a lot of the time

Just now checking the bonus tracks. So How Many Points and Actually I’m Just Wearing Your Glasses are incredibly strong b sides (particularly the epic 9 minute Glasses). Two of their best. That said, I can kinda see why they were left off.
Gyro, I hear you on the vocals. They’re definitely an acquired taste and take some getting used to. But now I really love them, even when he sounds particularly screechy/Whiney just because I can feel so much passion and “emo”tion in the vocal delivery.
