on a personal note, these guys happened to be the first band i saw live (not quite, they were the main act) and it was a great experience, even tho every other band was horribly mediocre and had terrible balance.

yeah but the first band I saw live was Prozzac and it was a great experience as well but that doesnt mean i have to 3 their terrible new album ;]

jokes aside yeah i just really dont see anything appealing to it, it really has no character or... anything really. just bland alt rock tbh, it actually kind of confuses me that this band has emo and shoegaze tags because thats all but non-existent here...

their previous albums were pop punk with strong emo influences, but the "shoegaze" on here is closer to dream pop. idk.

yeah its boring i agree but a lot of the songs seem to hit a sweet spot with me idk why.

i getcha. i thought this was nothing special musically but for some reason I connected with it and the whole atmosphere/mood it creates hence the 3.5. used to have this at a 4 tbh but it grew off me a bit
