It's not bad at all, but it was a disappointment given the six year wait and how amazing No More Stories was. I really hope that their next album (if they do another) is more consistent.

I really like this. Out of everything I've heard by them this is probably my favorite album by them so I guess I'm missing why this isn't as well liked. Also, I can't seem to find the bonus track Drinking Soda anywhere. The other one Western Silver Lion Club has a really cool reprise of My Complications at the end which was cool since I just listened to that song before I found this one.

I'm still annoyed that the ending track is the lead single. It sounds alright, but I can't help but thing there must have been something catchier on the album to release as a teaser from the early track list.

Band loses seven points for clearly naming album after Ed Sheeran's new release.

"Twist Quest" is pretty good but none of the new singles are living up to the quality of their other albums.

Considering "Carry Me to Safety" is the closing track, that's kind of a bad sign as well as their closers are usually long and epic. My expectations are at like a 3.2. I want it to be higher but so far that's me being generous.

I still don't understand why they released Carry Me To Safety first. I haven't listened to it since release because of that. 85 Videos grew on me a lot and I really like Twist Quest. I'm confident that I'll enjoy the album as a whole

No, I have a strong psychic allergy to saxophones. Even steel drums are better.

"I still don't understand why they released Carry Me To Safety first. I haven't listened to it since release because of that."

You're not missing too much. Its my least favorite of the new singles. It's a good song, but it's far from epic like "Rows," "Cross the River," "Comforting Sounds," etc. The intro is really nice though. Yeah, 85 Videos is very good. It's my favorite single so far from Visuals. It just has me wondering if Mew are simplifying their songs with the new album. On the surface, the same could be said about this album, but behind the sugarcoated pop melodies of this album are a lot of odd time signatures and trippy moments that have me thinking this album is so underrated. It seems like Visuals doesn't necessarily have that. Not saying it sounds bad so far, but it sounds like a lesser quality than I know of this band. But ehh it's still too early to tell. Who knows it could be my favorite of theirs.

Oh yeah, I would definitely have preferred an epic but hey for coming out so close to +-, it's almost understandable that there wouldn't be one. This seems like it will definitely be a simpler release for them but I honestly don't see that as too much of a problem since they do a fantastic job at conveying a melody before factoring in how technical they can get. Very excited for this
