Yeah Greatest Show felt too much like two short songs with a ten minute poem woven in and less like one long epic song, same with Song of Myself and Poet.
Ghost Love Score is where they did a long song right

Fair enough with preferring gothic and icy Nightwish over later Nightwish. I took a chance and bought the Once cd when that came out and dug that then Tarja left and I stayed with newer Nightwish.
Endless Forms I think is the culmination of their career and their best work. The focus on science and life and death is very powerful and struck a chord with me. And The Greatest Show on Earth is the best song they’ve done imo

They did aim to make that one the best song of their career. It's definitely an impressive flex but I prefer the shorter tracks with the exception of Ghost Love Score and The Poet and the Pendulum.
