You know I can actually imagine the ending including growling but it would have seemed so spontaneous and out of place lol

Yea I wish Wilson would go back to making psych music, but I don't think there's any hope for PT anymore. He has a good point about going back to that. He said what's he's had to say and now he's loving his solo career so good for him.

Thing is though, if they do get back together it'll be in like 2019. Imagine that! Your favorite musician is over 50 years old!

Well, everyone in Tool is nearly 50 and they're one of my favorite bands so that really doesn't mean anything to me haha
|

if everyone would stop humoring SW and saying his solo stuff is good then maybe he would realize its nowhere near as good as a lot of his PT stuff

No it's not but if he keeps making stuff like this, I'll be happy

His solo output for the most part is been far inferior to Porcupine Tree, I'll argee with that. However, Hand Cannot Erase really struck a chord with me. I firmly believe that it is some of the best stuff he has ever written. After this one, the future of his solo career has got me extremely excited. Unless they make some major changes, a new PT album wouldn't excited me that much; The Incident was a pretty weak album.

You were spot on until you undermined the incident....

I don't know man. The Incident is way too long and self-indulgent for my taste. Plus, the majority of the second disc is completely forgettable, especially Bonnie the Cat. God, I hate that song.

first disc is 4.5 tier whereas second is 2.5 I really wish the first disc was released by itself because it has become a personal favourite in the pt and SW catalogue

i will say that this and raven and much better than his first two solo albums. those were pretentious, fun hating pieces of shit

What? Grace for Drowning is an amazing album, but I think it's the one who requires more listens to appreciate. The first one is the weaker but also the most inmediate, there are some really great songs in there like "No Twilight Within the Courts of the Sun". Damn that song just have so much power not even the rockier songs of PT have.

Grace for Drowning is the best thing he has ever done. Even better than any PT record. It's pretty close to the best thing ANYONE has ever done.

Haven't actually heard Eggs For Breakfast, I'll check it at some point.

I've heard it's the height of his prog worship so I can certainly see it

Grace is my favorite. I don't think it's overly 70s prog-worship like Raven is. Besides, just a spoonful of Crimson helps the Wilson get down!
