This just makes me miss Peter Lindgren. Cool video though, never seen that before.

Lindgren was the man.

He really was, wish he'd join or start a new band to make new music. You can really feel his loss in the albums Opeth made following his departure, much as I love Watershed and Heritage though.

band immediately got better when drummer martin joined. how much of that was because of his presence i can't say though.

Lindgren is missed more than Lopez tbh.
Axe is the best thing about the band today tbh, Fredrik is a great player but is used in the wrong way in Opeth.
He's obviously a shredder player and he's being neutered so hard on the new stuff.

well i mean was it lindgren who smacked the shit out of akerfeldt anytime the latter said anything along the lines of "this could really use more keyboard"?

Fredrik's solos are sick though. Adds a new quality imo.

Of course he does. His solo on The Apostle in the Devil's Orchard is my favourite!

In the Frost of Winter hits so hard. Sounds like Opeth filtered through 2nd wave norwegian BM standards
