It was mostly Z2 stuff. They played Bad Devil, War, and Regulator, but nothing else pre Epicloud sadly.

Unless you want to include Kingdom since it first existed on Physicist.

Saw him live last night. Great show, and both Devin and Animals As Leaders kicked ass.

Saw the AAL/devin townsend show as well. (atlanta)

Pretty good concert all in all, although the sound guys kind of shat the bed a bit imo. Tosin's guitar was almost inaudible for the first half of their set b/c the bass/drums drowned it out, then they fixed it somewhat but the sound was still off a little bit for the rest of the concert. Not that I was expecting studio quality sound from a concert, but yeah.

Monuments brought good energy and weren't boring, which is what you want from an opening band.

@ devin's set, it was good and he had some lulzy stuff going on as usual (fog machine in his light-up guitar). Liked the sky blue/dark matters parts, didn't care much about the infinity stuff (idk why people like that album as much as they do). Grace and Kingdom were great.

Now that this has had time to grow on me, I'm really loving Sky Blue. I loved Dark Matters at the beginning and still really like it, but Sky Blue outshines it.

Funny because personally I reckon Sky Blue gets worse every time I listen to it, if released on it's own it would be my least favourite album of his by miles

Last four songs on Sky Blue > Dark Matters >>>>>>> the rest of the shite on Sky Blue

I just can't agree. Fallout, Midnight Sun, and A New Reign represent my favorite section of the entire release, and Dark Matters has chaff like Ziltoidian Empire, which is almost unbearable to me. Sky Blue > Dark Matters.

That said, March of the Poozers is pretty bad ass, and was really fun live. For Ziltoid based material, I much prefer Z1 when compared to Dark Matters.

I like Ziltoid a bit better than Z2 but still a worthy successor and great listen. Could care less about Sky Blue personally, not at all my style, but I was only in this for Ziltoid from the start

'Dark Matters' is like watching one of those awful 70s space Z-movies.. There's that tinge of pleasure that

you can't really get why, it's so ridiculous and pompous

Half of the tracks at a first listen also suck pretty hard

Finished the disc.. I'd say seeing it live with a "musical"-ish setting would be potentially great. On disc

probably never never ever again
