its definitely worth preodering. anareta has some of the most evocative early melo death inspirations and its the best dm i've heard all year. I feel ecdysis has slower doom sections vs. the more melodic/progressive sections anareta has.

i agree with your comparison. personally i was disappointed and didn't expect the change when i heard some of the new stuff because i loved the raw ecdysis and i rarely enjoy melodeath-ish stuff. that's just me ofc and i have to give the whole thing some spins then though. but everyone who has something left for dm should really check these guys out and keep track of them.

The new one is more proggy and more melodic with better production. They definitely took their time writing the songs. I don't like the vocals AS much on the new album but whatever. It's awesome.
