As a near fanatic fan of RDJ's work, this did not impress me at all. This is a suprisingly normal and uninspired album for such a genius musician. Is it good? Yes. Was it worth the wait? No.

What even would be the best album to start with?
The Richard D. James album was my introduction to Aphex Twin and it was pretty fucking otherworldly. Syro probably isn't a bad choice either.

yeah it was, he already said he has no intention of releasing anything like this anymore and he just released this as sort of a "for the record i made this so have it" deal, and this isn't new he made this years ago, or most of it
