Sowing, have you checked any other Spoon?

My favorite from this was always Let Me Be Mine. Just so damn infectious.

But yeah Inside Out and Do You are both pretty tracks

@Boney: I heard a little bit of Gimme Fiction but not the whole thing. This is the only Spoon record I've listened to in full or more than once.

There isn't a single dud here except maybe "I Just Don't Understand". And tellingly that's a cover.

Yes jam Kill the Moonlight now.

I think Ga^5 is their best but it's kind of (kind of) similar to this.

And good choice on "Vittorio E.", RadicalEd. That song is so gorgeous, one of my favorite closers ever.

Gax5 is the runner up to "Kill the Moonlight" in my opinion. But that may be the nostalgia talking. Gax5 is arguably more refined, but "Kill the Moonlight" is the album where they found their sound.

@RadicalEd: I would say they found their sound on Girls Can Tell, but yeah Kill the Moonlight and Ga^5 are hands down top two (both 5s imo).

i don't like kill the moonlight as a whole as much as some people but it does have some of their best individual tracks

Ga^5

Kill the Moonlight

Girls Can Tell

They Want My Soul

Gimme Fiction

Transference

Series of Sneaks

Telephono

Though I've barely listened to Series and Telephono

And I'm not a huge fan of the second half of Gimme Fiction. The first four or five tracks would be a classic EP imo but the rest is only good.

Those two are ok

I think it's just that the first several tracks are so awesome that the rest seems anticlimactic to me

Breast and Dragon, Adored is definitely one of my favorite all time songs as well

I've tried and tried and I adore Spoon but the second half of Gimme Fiction just has never fully clicked

I've considered bumping my rating, but I just can't make myself do it. Nothing in particular that stops me, it just doesn't quite feel like a 4.5 (plus I have Girls Can Tell at a 4.5 and this is not as good as that).
