i don't really see anything inherently 'wrong' with djent like others do. its either good djent or its shit djent, just like any other style or genre or music. thats just me though

i feel like people are overstating the "djent" (i cringe every time i have to type that word) aspect of this way too much

yeah cap i totally get if you dont dig it, but the sound thats achieved here is , imo, so much more fresh and interesting

than pretty much all djent thats out there. im hesitant to even call it that. its really just super rhythmic 8-string playing.

way funkier and more based in jazz than djent, which is usually always based in metalcore. the only song here that

sounds like typical djent is tooth and claw, which is ~evidently~ one of the worst songs here

like damn, listen to those grooves in "the woven web", if djent was never a movement/genre youd probably say damn this is swee

What's your point Captain? They're just making the music they like, as you've already admitted yourself. Seems like you're just expecting them to be a different band than they are

cap check out T.R.A.M., basically a cleaner, more jazzy animals as leaders (tosin is in it) with saxophones and flutes and

shit. you might dig if youre not happy with the more metal aspects of this.

pretty much this to a tee. of all the stock, total shitty djent out there these guys at least pull it off in an interesting way.
