Nah, can't be. the end stretch is a lot inferior to the first half. Although it's growing on me, I don't think it's better than a 3.5 at best

Their new video though is amazing. Also they recorded it in an old plant literally behind my place lol.

well destrage is a derivative of sikth so

that said, federico is, as I've said before, a goddamned alien behind the kit. Still can't get enough of his work on my green neighbor.

I tried to leave the fact that I like Sikth immensely more out of it, but I'll take every Sikth release over this any day of the week.

but this slays too.

"well destrage is a derivative of sikth so"

Is it though? I mean these guys are influenced by SikTh—what techy core band isn't?—but they're definitely their own thing. And while I like SikTh I'd taking this over any SikTh album.

I think taking the quirkiness to 100 is what keeps me from being able to keep this on the regular. Gotta be in a certain mood for it.

Yeah that's understandable. Despite its straightforwardness, Where The Things Have No Colour is probably my favourite song by them.

On this album I only have Where the Things Have No Colour and Purania above it. Those two are pretty untouchable for me. But the next tier has My Green Neighbour, Waterpark Bachelorette, and Destroy Create...

Green Neighbour has the best video though.

best song hands down, I still can't wrap my head around how cool is that spazzy breakdown followed by the sickest rock'n'roll riff and how mindlessly they are able to play it perfectly each time

I'm really sad, they deserved more attention on the scene

I remember moshing on this at UK tech fest, in the pit it was just me and a dude cosplaying as the zombie and we had to convince others. I was stoned af but could not not start the mosh rally for destrage lol

"I still can't wrap my head around how cool is that spazzy breakdown"

You mean that atonal chromatic harmony bit followed by the sweeps? I can only imagine what my face looked like the first time I heard that. Definitely a "WTF DID I JUST HEAR?!" followed by repeated replay moment.

And it's ridiculous how underappreciated these guys are. Every opportunity I've gotten to see them has been as openers on a PTH+Safety Fire/Good Tiger tour, and even then people are rarely there to see them, which is pretty insane cos you'd think at least a few PTH or TSF fans would appreciate the hell out of Destrage.

Being Italian is nice for food, shit for most other things, including awareness on the scene. if they were German, or Brits touring locally they'd have had a higher fan base. Locally they still sell out, I've seen them headlining 800+ peeps gigs. but that's the ceiling.
